Guest or visiting researchers

Researchers at the Swedish Defence University are expected to cooperate with other researchers within their areas, both nationally and internationally.

Researchers who are temporarily invited or affiliated to the Swedish Defence University are divided into four categories.

Library fellow

• Length of stay: 2-10 weeks

Departmental visiting fellow

• Length of stay: 5-25 weeks

SEDU Distinguished scholar

• Length of stay: 12-44 weeks

Nonresident scholar

• Length of stay: 2 years with possibility of extension for 2 years (total 4 years).
  The stay is evaluated after 2 years based on the benefit of the operations at the Swedish Defence University. Extension can alternatively be done in connection with externally funded research projects.
